From My Kitchen

Cheese and Crackers

I was hungry for an after school snack.  So I looked in the fridge, and I found some: peppercorn chèvre from (Fairwinds Farm), beets and prosciutto.  Then I grabbed some crackers and put all of my ingredients together, to make some gourmet crackers and cheese.

I gave my mom a sample and she said they were delicious.  She suggested that I add some balsamic vinaigrette to the beets.   So i did and they were perfect.

Then I worked on presentation.  I put the chèvre on top of the crackers so that the beets would stick.  Then I put a slice of prosciutto and some more beets on top.  Then I put the finished crackers on a big plate and added a drizzle of SRIRACHA Hot Chili Sauce on top for maximum beauty.

Chèvre (from the French for goat), is cheese made out of the milk of goats.

Prosciutto (pron.: /prəˈʃt/,[1] Italian: [proʃˈʃutto], Italian ham) or Parma ham is a dry-cured ham that is usually thinly sliced and served uncooked; this style is calledprosciutto crudo in Italian and is distinguished from cooked ham, prosciutto cotto.
